Rules of Chess Pieces:

Pawn: Moves one square forward and has the option to advance two squares on its initial move; it captures diagonally one square forward.

King: Moves one square in any direction.

Queen: Moves any distance in any direction (vertically, horizontally, or diagonally).

Rook: Moves any distance vertically or horizontally.

Knight: Moves in an "L" shape—either two squares vertically and one horizontally or two squares horizontally and one vertically.

Bishop: Moves any distance diagonally.

Crucial Chess Positions:

Check: This occurs when the king is under direct threat from an opponent's piece.

Checkmate: When it's the player's turn, and there are no legal moves to escape the check.

Draw: When it's the player's turn to move, and no legal moves are available, resulting in a draw.

The main objective of the game is to checkmate the opponent's king!

Two Unique Chess Moves:

Castling: A special move where the king and a rook make a double move, with the rook having never moved before.

En passant: This allows a pawn to capture an opponent's pawn that has just moved two squares forward, bypassing an attackable square.
